Review: Bibasque Clipless Curling Iron by Superglamnews

    By

    October 23, 2013

Ever since I was introduced to curling wands I have neglected curling irons. For the past week I got the opportunity to give a new wand a try from Bibasque. I’ve been using their 1″ Black Tourmaline Clipless Curling Iron. Removing the clips and making curling irons into wands has been an invention I will forever be grateful for. Using this iron I’m left with flawless curls in seconds and no indentation. This iron comes perfectly packaged in a box along with a heat protecting glove. The iron heats up pretty quickly and goes to very high degrees. If you’re new at curling your hair with a wand, I do recommend using the glove to keep from getting burned.

The Bibasque irons are superior ones. The barrel is a tourmaline infused ceramic barrel. This helps tone down any frizz and distributes the heat evenly to your hair. After curling your hair you’re left with smooth locks and curls that will last you all day. I decided to create a big, sexy hair tutorial using my Bibasque curling iron and loved the results. The curls form fairly quickly and lasted me all day. Watch the video below and subscribe to my channel to be the first to know about new tutorials.

Sleek, Straight Hair with a Flawless Flat Iron from BIBASQUE! - by Certified F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S

Posted by on in Product Reviews

If I'm going to spend good money on a quality styling tool, it has to be well, exceptional quality. I go back and forth between straightening and curling my hair. So a styling tool that can create multiple hair looks is a good start. If you use styling tools often, you can tell which products are a cut above the rest. How the product interacts with the hair and the end result determines which styling tools we love and trust to use often on our delicate hair that we put through oh so much trauma. If you use heat styling tools on your hair everyday, or quite often, it's a good idea to invest in one that cares for your hair and will make your life a little bit easier. I recently learned about BIBASQUE and the line of professional styling tools they offer. These products are designed and engineered by professionals for the professionals of the hair industry. This brands goes above and beyond with their products as the "quality control is higher than the industry standard." These styling tools are designed to please those of the professional hair salon industry and hair stylists! You can experience this flat iron for yourself by buying it online at BIBASQUE!

    Bibasque Belle Femme Flat Iron

My hair is naturally wavy/curly, coarse, and frizzy. It curls easily with a curling iron and maintains pretty good hold. I can also successfully straighten my hair, although it doesn't stay stick straight for long. But I do love the smoothing aspect of straightening my hair, as it calms the frizz and shows a more glossy finish. So when we received the BIBASQUE Belle Femme Flat Iron I was intrigued to see how this professional hair tool would tame my coarse hair.

To start, here are a few important specs on this flat iron:

     11/4 inch

    100% Solid Ceramic Plates

    Far Infrared Heat Rays

    Even distribution of heat

    Heat range from 104° F - 450° F

The even distribution of heat means there are no hot or cold spots - allowing it to straighten your hair strands evenly. The 450°F temperature is a professional standard that is used in hair salons to seal keratin treatments into the hair, meaning it's pretty serious about straightening! The Far Infrared Heat Rays keep the moisture, shine, and color in your hair, leaving your hair looking healthy and beautiful! My hair definitively had more shine and felt touchably smooth after using this straightener. The straightener itself glided easily through my hair. It did not catch or pull my hair. Some straighteners can pull unevenly on hair strands and leave these sort of ridges, almost like it's oddly crimped. But with floating plates on the flat iron this straightening experience was smooth all the way through! And with a 360° swivel cord, it made the process quick and easy since it followed my movements and did not get tangled.

Another aspect that I appreciated was the beveled plates that help create different styles. I wanted to be able to create different looks with this one tool, and this flat iron allows you to style curls, flips, and waves in addition to a sleek straight look. I like to add a bigger curl, sort of like a rounded finish to the end of my straightened hair, and that was very easy to do with this straightener! This is definitely a quality straighter that will allow you to discover many possible styles with this one tool! No matter what style you come up with, you'll know that your hair was treated well with this straightener, making the whole process a little easier and worthwhile!

Don't miss your chance to experience this professional product! BIBASQUE is generously giving away the very same Belle Femme Flat Iron in one of our FAB Giveaways. Click HERE to enter!

Review and Hair Tutorial (How to Get Edgy Tight Curls) Feat. Bibasque by The Fabzilla

    // PR Sample //

Makeup aside, the quickest way to transform your look is to switch up hairstyles. Curly, flat, bouncy, bombshell, tight, wavy, no matter what you call it, you need the right tools (and a bit of inspiration) to get it done. Which leads me to my next question, how many curling or flat irons do you currently own? Do you really need to buy every model or size there is?
You know I hate clutter to the core. And ever since I have renovated my home office/makeup room, I strive to keep my dresser in pristine order. Because of this, my buying habits drastically changed. I prefer multi-functional and high quality products. If I have to pay more, I would but please delight me.

I had the opportunity to try a styling tool from a brand that's entirely new to me. Bibasque is a high-end beauty boutique company specializing in professional hair tools. They have flat and curling irons in every size and style that suit a woman's discriminating taste. I was particularly excited to get my hands on Quatre ($199.50), a set of four interchangeable curling iron set.

I know, a box is a box, but how can you not say anything about it? it's sassy and chic, what with the black and white print. Don't you think it's an eye candy?
    Now let's see what's inside....

So what exactly is Bibasque Quatre? According to the website "The Bibasque Quatre is an innovative and interchangeable curling iron set that provides you with four different sizes for four different styles. Each barrel is tourmaline-infused, allowing you to create long lasting curls with a beautiful and healthy shine ".
    Key features:
    • Tourmaline ceramic barrels.
    • Includes 4 interchangeable barrels: 18mm-9mm, 19mm (¾"), 25mm (1"), 32mm (1¼ ").
    • Even distribution of heat to the barrel by using quality heating elements. No cold or hot spots.
    • Emits negative ions which eliminate the frizz and static.
    • Far Infrared Heat Rays (FIR) keep the moisture, shine and color in your hair, yielding superior, healthy results.
    • Smooth surface ensuring smooth styling without creating tension or pulling the hair.
    • Comes with a cool tip for a safer and quicker styling.
    • Clipless barrel design.
    • Max temperature of 392 °F (200 °C) .
    • 2 heat settings: (1) 340°F and (2) 392°F
    • Easy to use. Ergonomic non-slip grip.
    • Tangle-free 360° swivel power cord.

Here are the barrels and parts up close:

    it has two settings.

Minnie Mouse says safety first bellas, wear the glove!!!

The itsy-bitsy skinny. This is a rather easy tool to use, no instruction booklet required. Although I must say that connecting/ disconnecting the barrel required a bit of familiarization (you must hear it click otherwise it's not fully connected). It heats up in two minutes, my guesstimate. It would be nice if it has an alarm so you know that it's ready to use. I like that it has a built-in mini stand so it doesn't touch any surface, I hate accidents! I had no static issues at all and I like that my borderline frizzy hair appeared shiny and soft each time I use it. Set with hair spray, mah curls last throughout the day. The interchangeable barrel feature is a space saver; it also comes in handy when my fickle mind attacks- large curls, beach waves, flapper hair? Ugh, big bun!
For this Edgy Tight Curls Tutorial, I used the smallest barrel , the 18mm-9mm.

My inspiration for this diva-ish hairstyle is no other than Beyonce! It's easy but not-so-quick (well in my case since I have long hair!). It took me 30 minutes for the entire twistin' and curlin'.
    1. Brush hair.
    2. Spray heat protectant.
    3. Section and clip hair as you please.
    4. Wear heat-resistant glove.
    5. Grab a piece; the thinner, the tighter the curls.
    6. Twist the piece, it's the main technique.
    6. Wrap the twisted piece around the barrel, away from your face (for safety reasons of course) for about 10 seconds.
    7. Release twisted piece and let it cool.
    8. Loosen up curls slightly by running your fingers through the hair.
    9. Finish with hair spray.
Now bling it with accessories baby!

Where to buy Bibasque? company website, select professional salons and beauty supplies stores.
    'til my next hair tutorial,
    Kathryne

Healthy Hair Tips : Styling habits!

    Healthy Hair

Want long beautiful healthy hair? Well we found some tips that might help!

    Tip#1: Change your washing routine.

Studies show that washing your hair everyday can dry it out. Washing your hair everyday can also lead to oily hair due to stripping of hair of its oils causing the oil glands to overdrive.  Instead of washing your hair everyday the following might help:

Wash your hair just 3 or 4 times a week. Giving your hair a break in between washings. By giving your hair a break in between washing it will restore its balance giving the result of healthy and vibrant hair.

Wash your hair with cold water. Washing your hair with cold water helps your hair shaft close, resulting to shiny and bouncy hair! Washing with hot water is hard on your hair and can lead to split ends and frizz.

    Tip#2: Handle your hair gently.

After washing your hair, gently pat it dry with a towel and let it finish air drying. Use a comb instead of a brush. Forcing a brush through tangled hair can cause it to rip and break. Use a wide-toothed comb to gently work through the tangles.

Tip#3: Use heat styling devices mildly.

Put away your hair dryer, straightener, and curling iron unless you have a special occasion at hand. Applying heat to your hair can damage it.

If you want to use the blow dryer sometimes, use it on a cool setting. Be sure to use hair protective serum in your hair before using any heat styling devices.

By following these easy hair tips, it will help you attain shiny and healthy hair!
